Carlisle Closing Wisconsin Plant

(Akron/Tire Review) Reports say that Carlisle Tire & Wheel Co. plans to close its plant in Slinger, Wisc.

The move will result in the loss of 105 jobs for the area.

According to the Business Journal of Milwaukee, Carlisle said its business has been hurt by low-cost imported tires and more aggressive domestic competition. Carlisle will apparently consolidate production from the Slinger plant into its other facilities.
