Brembo Stays With Plan, Changes Boss

Brake maker Brembo SpA has a new boss following the departure of managing director and CEO Mauro Pessi.

Brembo’s board immediately named Alberto Bombassei, president of Brembo, as managing director as of Sept. 1.

Pessi is leaving the company “as the result of differences in ideas regarding the lines along which the organizational structure of the company should develop,” the company said in a statement.

Bombassei said,“There is to be no change in the company’s plans. We will continue to develop the current lines of corporate strategy under the same strong team of managers that has overseen the international expansion of Brembo in recent years. In particular, the medium/long term focus continues to be on growth achieved by further penetration of the BRIC countries (especially India, China and Brazil), by expansion of our product range and on investments in innovative materials and products.” (Tire Review/Akron)
