Michelin Views Run-Flats Merely as Niche Product

After years of touting its Pax system run-flats as the second coming, Michelin’s research chief now says run-flats are nothing more than a niche product. They are heavier, more expensive than and are less fuel-efficient than conventional radials. Consequently, only 3% of car owners worldwide even want run-flats.
