STL Sets Tire Technology Seminar

(Akron/Tire Review) Standards Testing Laboratories will hold a tire technology seminar on May 9-11, at the company's Massillon, Ohio, test and evaluation facility.

The two-and-a-half day seminar covers all aspects of tire basics, and targets both entry-level engineers and those desiring greater background on tire technology.

The seminar provides a comprehensive overview of tire industry technology, including tire nomenclature, raw materials, manufacturing, design, construction, testing, applications and other tire related topics.

The seminar costs $800, and the fee includes all materials, three lunches, an evening banquet and refreshments throughout the course. Deadline to register is Apr. 21.

Yokohama Rubber donates to Eastern Taiwan earthquake relief

Through its Yokohama Magokoro Fund, Yokohama Rubber will donate a combined ¥1 million (approx. $6,380).

Yokohama Rubber shared its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families who have lost loved ones and to all those who have been affected by the earthquake in Eastern Taiwan. In response, Yokohama Rubber and its employee-backed Yokohama Magokoro Fund said it will donate a combined ¥1 million (approx. $6,380) through the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief efforts in the region.
