Tym Signs 3-Year Deal With Triangle

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Kings Lynn, Norfolk-based Tym International has renewed its relations with large-scale Chinese tyre manufacturer Triangle.

Tym is the only U.K. company to sign a three-year agreement for 2007, 2008 and 2009, Tym International’s Steve Eke told Tyres and Accessories.

“We at Tym International are continually impressed with the level of commitment Triangle has. With that and the depth of knowledge they have on their products, it is no surprise that the company, indeed the whole of the Chinese economy, is thriving the way it is,” he commented. Triangle recently invited Tym to view its new factory in China, which is set to increase supply to the U.K.

As a result of relationships like this, Tym is one company that has bucked the trend in the last fours years by continually improving truck tyre sales by an average of 32%. This year, the company proudly boasts that Triangle sales are already up 100% on 2005. But this is not the only product in two-pronged Tym truck portfolio.

Tym (formally Motokov UK) was previously known for delivering Matador passenger and light truck tyres to wholesalers throughout the U.K. When Matador joined forces with Continental to produce truck tyres in 1998, the company realised this was the opportunity to diversify part of the business. Tym’s Matador truck range starts from 205/75R17.5 though to 385/65R22.5. The company produces three patterns on most sizes in both drive and steer fitments to meet the needs of all customers.  Matador also produces cross-ply tyres in all popular sizes, from 900×20 to 1400×24 24 ply.
