Magna Tyres launches in-house TPMS

Among other things, Magna TPMS monitors distance traveled and the hours a tire has been used.

Netherlands-based Magna Tyres launched its own in-house tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) on Jan. 18. The company said Magna TPMS offers real-time tire pressure and temperature monitoring with alerts on moderate and extreme readings 24/7, even when the machine is unpowered. Thanks to the GPS location tracking of Magna TPMS, the system monitors distance traveled, and hours used for tire usage statistics.

Magna said other benefits include specialized valve sensors that continuously measure information like pressure, heat, speed and distance. Meanwhile, the Magna Gateway gathers information which is measured by the sensors and through the CAN-bus then collected and transmitted in real-time.

Turbo Wholesale Tires welcomed more than 400 tire dealers to its annual open house at its Oak Park (metro Detroit), Michigan distribution center May 2. This year, the event featured three events at once: a trade show, a buyer's event and a dinner for tire dealers who are part of the Turbo Wholesale Tires group. The major announcement of the night came from Todd Pickens, chief commercial officer at Turbo Wholesale Tires, who presented Lexani’s entry into the EV tire market: The Volt-EC. Lexani is one of Turbo Wholesale Tires’ proprietary tire lines, which also includes Lionhart and Rolling Big Power (RBP) brands.
