Woman Drives Off Without Paying for Tires

A customer at the Tire Kingdom location on Heckle Boulevard in Rock Hill, S.C., faces shoplifting charges after police said she stole tires when her check and debit card were declined.

The 22-year-old woman was attempting to buy new tires at the shop last week. According to police reports, she first attempted to pay the $234 bill with a personal check. When an employee told her the check did not go through, she then attempted to use a debit card, which declined.

That’s when the woman reportedly grabbed the keys to her vehicle and drove away, without paying. Employees said they have attempted to contact the woman by phone, but say she hung up on them when they stated who they were.
