Two Bandag Retreads Earn SmartWay Verification

The EPA has added two Bandag brand retreads – B710 FuelTech and B197 FuelTech – to its SmartWay-verified low rolling resistance retread list.

"We are constantly striving to develop eco-friendly products and processes while meeting the fuel saving needs of our customers," said Bert Jones, Bridgestone Americas product marketing manager for truck, retread and OTR tires.

The Bandag B710 FuelTech drive retread was engineered to complement the Bridgestone M710 Ecopia radial tire, which is also SmartWay verified, according to Bridgestone. The Bandag B197 FuelTech trailer retread complements the SmartWay verified, Bridgestone R197 Ecopia radial tire in design and performance.
