Tire Industry Veteran Bill Hirst Dies

William “Bill” Hirst Jr., longtime tire industry veteran, died unexpectedly March 13 at the age of 57. Hirst was a marketing executive with more than 34 years of experience in the industry.
Hirst’s took on his most recent position in 2012 as vice president of program sales for Tire Group International’s domestic division.
Prior to Tire Group International, he served as TBC Wholesale’s executive vice president of sales for key brands and vice president of sales and marketing for Treadways Corp. He attended the University of Delaware and Temple University.
Hirst was born in Philadelphia, the son of Louise Hirst and William Hirst Sr.
Hirst is survived by his wife Barbara Hirst. Additionally, he is survived by his daughters Alyssa and Sarah Hirst, brother Stephen Hirst, mother, mother-in-law, brother- and sister-in-law, and his nephew and niece.
