Retail and services software maker Epicor Software Corp. has acquired Internet AutoParts, which provides of business-to-business e-commerce software for replacement parts distributors, jobbers and vehicle repair businesses.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With the acquisition of IAP, Epicor claimed it is “now a leading automotive aftermarket integrated B2B e-commerce and connectivity provider, with a comprehensive offering of reliable, robust and easy-to-use solutions for parts distribution businesses, shop management system providers and automotive service dealers.”

Established in 2000 through a collaboration that included Activant Solutions Inc. (now Epicor), IAP serves more than 18,000 parts distribution locations and over 148,000 registered automotive service dealers. IAP e-commerce software, the company said, is integrated with virtually every major repair shop business management system.
