Pep Boys has launched TreadSmart, a new online system that allows customers to research tires, compare features and pricing, make an online purchase, and schedule service appointments.
TreadSmart, according to the retailer, “asks tire buyers questions about their driving habits and then makes recommendations based on that information,” and then make purchase online and “schedule installation at a Pep Boys location convenient to the driver’s home or office even on the same day.”
"TreadSmart not only gives the customer all of the details to make an informed decision, it also helps eliminate the mystery behind buying tires," said Scott Allen, Pep Boys assistant vice president of marketing.
