New Web Site Option Available to Dealers

CustomerLink has launched its new Web site design and hosting service for tire dealers and auto service shops.

The company said its Web sites are “highly customized with personalized,” with “shop specific domain names, extensive information about the shop including services offered, car care tips, online appointment scheduling, and personalized email addresses for the shop staff.”

Walt Samuelson, CustomerLink’s president and CEO, said, "Based on feedback we’ve received from our customers and other service centers in the market, we believe our Web site offering is more appropriate for today’s shops and their customers than anything else available in the aftermarket." Forty-one percent of drivers got a flat tire in the last 12 months

Over a quarter (28%) of drivers opted to change the flat themselves, and 24% called roadside assistance.

Hankook Tire’s latest Gauge Index recently found that 41% of drivers have experienced a flat tire or tire blowout in the last 12 months. Another 29% have discovered a puncture or leak. The Gauge Index found that one-third (32%) of drivers who experienced a flat tire in the last year said the primary cause was a nail, which was the No. 1 culprit.
