Burlington Tire Service in Burlington, N.C., is the latest shop to join AskPatty.com’s network of Certified Female Friendly Tire and Service Centers. The program was developed jointly by AskPatty.com and Tire Review magazine, and is available to tire retailers across North America.
“When I first started this business, my late mother in-law, whose husband died at an early age, told me about her negative experiences she had when having her car worked on,” said Bill Anders, owner of Burlington Tire. “She then proceeded to give me some instructions on how I should treat all my customers, but especially our female customers. Her rule Number One was to treat everyone the way you want to be treated. I still think that rule is the most important rule a business can have.”
To become AskPatty.com Certified Female Friendly, staff at Burlington Tire completed an extensive training program on how to best serve women. Employees will participate in year-round instruction to enhance their awareness, appreciation and commitment to a female-friendly service experience. Burlington Tire also will benefit from a marketing support program designed to build lasting relationships with women customers, including a female-focused micro-site that provides the tools and resources most requested by women. The micro-site gives women the ability to schedule service appointments, access coupons and discounts, and learn more about car buying and maintenance online.
Burlington Tire Service has been in business since 1973 and has a staff with more than 225 combined years in the tire and auto industry.
“We have always strived to be a female friendly business and will never knowingly overcharge, patronize or sell our customers services they do not need or want. Our friendly staff has one common goal: making the customer #1. By joining the AskPatty.com, we feel we will elevate the level of service we provide our customers,” Anders said.
