Mr. Tire/Big 3 Tire Dealers: The Best of the Best

Tire dealers have many different aspects of their business to occupy their attention every single day: marketing plans, advertising, customer retention, profit margins, Internet presence, road hazard programs, and big box competition, to name just a few.

It is hard to find the time and resources to manage everything. Fortunately, Mr. Tire or Big 3 Tire can offer dealers assistance to pull everything together. With offerings that include exclusive consumer rebates, national account parts programs, website development, a dealer locator, marketing support, a customer loyalty program, a signage program, a Nationwide Tire Protection Plan, discounted office supplies and much more; independent tire dealers have the tools and resources to compete with the big boys.

K&M Tire acquired the Mr. Tire marketing program with its purchase of Triton Tire, a division of Universal Cooperative in 2010, inheriting 125 existing Mr. Tire members. Since acquiring the program, K&M has grown the program offerings and the dealer base to over 550 dealers. Due to a deal struck before the acquisition, K&M Tire is unable to offer the Mr. Tire name in all states, thus it launched the Big 3 Tire program in 2012. The sister program has over 220 dealers for a total of more than 770 dealers on K&M Tire’s marketing programs.

The “3” in Big 3 Tire represents the three pillars of the program: fast and friendly service; top tire brands; and competitive pricing. As K&M Tire grows their two marketing programs, they seek dealers who are actively working to grow their business and wanting to partner with K&M Tire to bring their business to the next level. The members of these programs are some of the best in the industry.

This year K&M Tire will honor the best of the best through its first annual Mr. Tire/Big 3 Tire Top Shop Award presented by Hankook Tire America and supported by O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. Out of 130 entries, 26 dealers were chosen as semi-finalists. These dealers epitomize the key attributes and values of a highly successful business and are an ideal representative of our industry.

The winner of the Mr. Tire/Big 3 Tire Top Shop Award will be announced at the K&M Tire Dealer Conference on January 15th in Kansas City.

The Top Shop Award is not about being the biggest tire dealer. Entrants are judged on their business merits. Top Shop is all about the business, what the business does day in and day out, and what the business means to customers, community and employees. The Top Shop Award is about being “above and beyond” the ordinary. And what the dealer does to continuously improve customer satisfaction.

Be sure check our websites www.mrtireoutlet.com and www.big3tire.com in late January to find out who is named the 2015 Mr. Tire/Big 3 Tire Top Shop of the year!
