Interested parties may now apply for the 2014 Michelin- Tire Industry Association Scholarship.
The scholarship program is open to both part-time employees and dependent children of full-time employees at TIA member tire dealers. Applicants must be a high school senior planning to pursue a post-secondary education at an accredited two- or four-year college or vocational technical school. Additionally, applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
“TIA is pleased to continue to partner with Michelin on the scholarship program. Since the program’s inception in 2000, more than $250,000 has been awarded so we know the program is making a positive impact,” said Roy Littlefield, TIA executive vice president.
Applicants are evaluated on the three criteria academic achievement, extracurricular activities and community leadership.
Once awarded, the recipients may renew the scholarship for up to three more years, TIA said.
