ITDG Promotes Long to Executive Vice President

Independent Tire Dealers Group promotes member on team for his contributions to the group.

The Independent Tire Dealers Group announced the promotion of Edward Long to executive vice president of sales and marketing.

“Since joining the group in April 2003, Ed has done a terrific job of growing our membership and continually adding value to the program,” said Michael Cox, president and CEO. “Through Ed’s efforts, we have evolved from a southwest regional program to one of national and international scope.”

Cox said Independent Tire Dealers Group is now represented in 33 states with more than 500 locations because of Long’s efforts. He said the group is also an associate member of Point S, an international organization of independent tire dealers in 27 countries.

Florida Pneumatic Manufacturing Corporation released the AirCat 6420 1/4” and AirCat 6410 3/16” Air Hydraulic Riveter. The company said its AirCat 6420 1/4” tool features 3,700 LB of pull force and is designed to handle both 3/16” and ¼” steel and aluminum structural rivets, as well as 3/16” and 1/4” Monobolts. This professional tool is designed for continuous use and features a convenient on/off switch for its patented “mandrel vacuum collection system,” according to the company. The removable mandrel collection bottle can also be quickly removed and emptied. Tips included are 3/16”, ¼” 3/16” Monobolt and ¼” Monobolt.
