Yokohama’s BluEarth S34BZ eco tire has been chosen as original equipment for the 2012 Toyota Prius V.
The new crossover, which is known as the Prius+ in Europe, is available to U.S. and Canadian purchasers fitted with the BluEarth tire in size P205/60R16 91V.
“The Prius has become very iconic among consumers who are eco-aware and with active lifestyles,” said Jeremy Kahrs, Yokohama Tire Corp. director of OE sales. “Yokohama is proud, especially because BluEarth S34 is the latest embodiment of our global environmental philosophy also termed, BluEarth, aimed at harmonizing our products and operations with the environment.”
BluEarth S34BZ utilises Yokohama’s proprietary orange-oil technology, which uses orange oil to cut the use of petroleum. (Tyres & Accessories)
