Two New Michigan Stores for Belle Tire

Belle Tire has opened two new retail stores in Michigan, taking the wraps off locations in Battle Creek and Monroe.

According to Belle Tire vice president Jeff Kruse, the stores are virtually identical and are 9,900-square-foot structures with 10 service bays and two alignment bays.

“This is the first Belle Tire store in the Battle Creek area and we are pleased and excited to be entering this new market,” said Don Barnes Jr., president of Belle Tire.

The Monroe location, also Belle Tire’s first there, will take some pressure off of locations in Toledo, Ohio, and Woodhaven, Mich., that were closest to Monroe.

Both the Battle Creek and Monroe stores will employee 15 people, which include manager, assistant manager, sales staff and ASE-certified technicians.

TBC Corp. names COO for TBC Brands, TBC International

Bill Schafer brings 30 years of experience from Michelin, where he held various leadership roles during his tenure.

TBC Corporation appointed Bill Schafer to the role of chief operating officer for TBC Brands and TBC International. Schafer will report directly to TBC Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Don Byrd, and will oversee all TBC Brands and TBC International sales initiatives, including customer service, commercial tire sales, equipment and non-tire sales, and operations, according to TBC.
