The marathon drive for Goodyear’s RunOnFlat Rally included special sections on notorious roads, attempted on four completely deflated tyres.
Pulling into Aire Point, near Land’s End today, Scott drew gasps and laughter from on-lookers with his special driving suit, a mixture of Mr. Toad from “Wind in the Willows” fame and the notorious Dick Dastardly character from iconic cartoon Wacky Racers.
Scott, 44, from Essex, who has previously cycled across Australia on a Penny Farthing bicycle and undertaken the world’s first underwater marathon, agreed to Goodyear’s challenge to drive the RunOnFlat Rally. He has driven across the British Isles, from John O’Groats to Land’s End, via Inverness, Edinburgh, Carlise, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, Worcester, Cardiff, Reading, Portsmouth, Southampton, Torquay and Plymouth in a Mini with flat tyres
To challenge Scott, the rally route included special stages involving some of the bendiest, scary and narrow roads in Britain. Lloyd achieved a record 75-minute orbit of Manchester’s M60 on four deflated tyres.

Scott comments "I only wish I had been sponsored for every hoot and flash alerting me to the flat tyres. I’ve suffered some anxious moments passing people stranded on the roadside with real punctures. I didn’t have the heart to stop and tell them I was driving across the country with flats. It’s a unique challenge and one I don’t expect to be broken."
