On Apr. 29, consumers making a $10 donation could drive Ford Mustangs equipped with Kumho Ecsta SPT ultra-high performance tires on an autocross course. Ken Towery’s AutoCare promoted the event with newspaper and radio ads and with in-store signs at its 12 Louisville stores. Two radio stations did live remotes at the event, and participating consumers received t-shirts and discount coupons good toward the purchase of select Kumho tires.
“We didn’t know what to expect as this was our first ride and drive,” said Dave Church, senior vice president with Ken Towery’s AutoCare. “Our radio remote brought in the customers on a rainy day to ride on the Kumho tires, and they really performed well in the wet. The Kumho crew did an outstanding job setting up the ride-and-drive course and really made our customers and employees feel welcome. We were very happy with the results of our first event. We’re already thinking about next year’s event and want to make it bigger and better.”
