Continental Releases Two New TPMS Tools

Both the Autodiagnos TPMS SE and D tools work with 100% of OE sensors, the company says.

Continental has released a pair of new TPMS tools, Autodiagnos TPMS D and SE.

Continental says the new Autodiagnos TPMS D Tool works with 100% of OE sensors and 20 aftermarket brand sensors, and can perform relearns on 98.6% of all domestic, European and Asian TPMS-compliant vehicles.

Designed to accommodate shops of all sizes, the Autodiagnos TPMS D tool can deliver complete TPMS service, diagnostics and support tire service. This new tool can read and clear TPMS codes and has a built-in VIN scanner for make/model/year lookups. The TPMS D can also program sensors from historical data and features an OBD2 mode that streamlines relearns for all of a vehicle’s sensors to under two minutes, Continental says.

Tire pressure monitoring systems are all about safety. Properly inflated tires maximize stability, handling and braking distance of your vehicle. However, there's another perk to communicate to your customers that shouldn’t be overlooked - fuel savings!

Imagine riding a bicycle with flat tires or pushing a car with under inflated ones. It requires significantly more effort, right? Well, the same applies to your engine. Under inflated tires make your engine work harder, resulting in increased fuel consumption. Additionally, they cause premature wear to tires and the vehicle’s suspension.
