Continental Reorganizes Sales Organization

Continental Tire the Americas has reorganized its U.S. passenger and light truck replacement sales organization due to growth experienced over the past five years.

ContiTech, USW Agree to Five-Year Contract  

The United Steelworkers union and ContiTech, U.S.A. have ratified a new five-year contract that covers 1,100 employees in four ContiTech plants in the United States.

Continental Tire Rolls Out New Promotion

Continental has announced it will be offering a $70 Visa prepaid card to consumers that purchase four Continental Tire passenger or light truck tires. The promotion runs through August 1 till August 31, 2017 and is designed to drive more business to Continental dealers.

Continental Announces New Rewards Program for Canadian Aftermarket

Continental has introduced the Elite Rewards Program Member (RPM) Club in the Canadian aftermarket with improved features for professional repair technicians and distributor counterpersons. Continental has taken the same basic premise as the U.S. program, but has added the distributor counterperson component.

Continental’s Lannoo Nominated for TIA Board of Directors

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket has announced that Sales Technical Training Specialist Sean Lannoo, has been nominated for the Tire Industry Association’s 2017 Board of Directors. Lannoo is one of 14 industry professionals who have been nominated for the position by the TIA.

BestDrive Opens New Commercial Tire Center

BestDrive recently opened a new facility in Kansas City, Kan. Established in 2010, the commercial tire dealer and retreader now has 21 commercial tire centers across the United States, with plans to expand into eight additional states by the end of 2018.

Gold Dealers Sail into 2017

A board the Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas, 640 tire dealers, their guests and Continental Tire the Americas staff took to the sea for the 2017 Gold Dealer Meeting. This year 334 Elite Gold Dealers, including 67 new dealers, qualified for the annual Gold Dealer trip by selling more than 2,000 units in 2016.
