Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.’s Gadsden plant is planning several activities for its 85th anniversary, and is inviting back retirees for a special party. The retiree luncheon will take place April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gadsden’s Convention Hall. Construction on Goodyear’s Gadsden plant began in February 1929, and the first tire
