Women in Auto Care Announce 2017 Scholarship Winners
Women in Auto Care awarded $65,000 in scholarships this year to 22 female students who are studying to enter the auto care industry. The scholarships are given to young women in high school and post-secondary schools that are focused on technical, as well as business/engineering degrees.

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced the honorees for the 2017 Tire Industry Hall of Fame and Ed Wagner Leadership Award. The 2017 Tire Industry Hall of Fame honorees are; Godfrey L. Cabot, founder, The Cabot Corp.; William T. Conklin III, former president, Schenuit Tire and Rubber Co.; and Norman Gaither, owner, DSP 20 Group.
YRC Posts First-Half Gains in Fiscal 2017 Sales, Earnings
Yokohama Rubber Co. has announced its financial results for the first half of fiscal 2017. Profit attributable to owners of parent increased 38.7% over the same period of the previous year, to 11.4 billion yen (approximately $103,979,400) on a 16.8% increase in operating income, to 18.4 billion yen (approximately $167,826,400), and a 15.9% increase in net sales, to 310.8 billion yen (approximately $2,827,510,000).
Schaeffler Publishes 2017 Interim Financial Report
Schaeffler has published its 2017 interim financial report and announced the company grew its revenue by 3.8% or by 7 billion Euros (approximately $8.2 billion). The Automotive division increased its revenue by 4.2% at constant currency in the first half of 2017.
