Florida-based tire marketer and distributor Zafco Trading acquired Martino Tire Co. for an undisclosed sum. The deal was consummated some weeks ago but was only recently revealed.
The deal includes Martino Tire’s remaining five retail stores and single commercial center, all located in Florida. Goodyear had previously took over five other Martino Tire retail stores.
Martino Tire was founded in 1959, and once included 27 retail locations, commercial locations and a wholesale business.
Dubai-based Zafco recently took over the dormant Armstrong tire brand from Pirelli in a licensing deal, and has reportedly taken a share in Thailand’s Otani Tire Co., which will reportedly produce Armstrong branded medium truck and farm tires. Zafco reportedly is still working on production deals for its planned Armstrong consumer tires.
