Yokohama Rubber Co. is planning to increase production capacity and undergo a feasibility study at its plant in Bahadurgarh, India, to help increase its market share in the country, according to India’s Economic Times.
The tiremaker started production at the plant in November 2014 and its 25 acre-space will be expanded with four phases to increase production from 2,000 to 8,000 tires a day, according to the paper.
The plant’s general manager Sanjay Chatterjee said phase one of the increase is operational, while the feasibility studies are phases two and three.
