Yokohama Tire Corp. is recalling certain 7.50R16 RY215 tires manufactured between Jan. 1, 2006, through Aug. 1, 2011, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The potential number of tires affected is 1,192.
The recalled tires are missing the “DOT” prefix, the required load/inflation information and do not list the material and number of structural plies, NHTSA said. Because of this, the tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 119.
Yokohama will replace customers’ tires free of charge and will notify owners and dealers.
