Yokohama Parada Spec-X Targets Large Wheel Segment

(Akron/Tire Review) Yokohama Tire Corp. has released the new Parada Spec-X line, which targets larger sedans and light trucks and SUVs.

The tire is available in 22 sizes covering 20- to 24-inch wheel diameters.

"The all-new Parada Spec-X provides drivers with Yokohama’s latest performance technology as well as stylish good looks," said Jim MacMaster, Yokohama’s business division executive vice president. "The Parada Spec-X combines Yokohama’s ‘uncompromising performance’ with an edgy, stylish look.”

The directional tire features reinforcing shoulder blocks for stability and even tread wear, said the company, and heat-reduction dimples and rim protector strips on the sidewall. The tread encourages “constant rubber-to-road contact” to aid acceleration and braking, wet and dry traction, and hydroplaning resistance.
