Yokohama Tire Corp. and Sullivan Tire and Auto Service have partnered with the KaBoom! to build a brand-new, eco-friendly playground for children in Rockland, Mass.
The playground was built in one day and is part of Yokohama’s ongoing partnership commitment with KaBOOM! – a national non-profit that works to get kids balanced and active play.
“We had more than 200 volunteers from the community join in on the effort to build the playground at Hartsuff Park,” said Alan Holtschneider, director of marketing for Yokohama. “We’re glad our partners, especially Paul Sullivan and Sullivan Tire, were very active from the planning phase to seeing the project through. Everyone went the extra mile.”
Yokohama, Sullivan Tire and KaBOOM! worked with local parents and their children months prior to the build to design the playground and pick out color schemes and equipment, including new, environmentally safe, “Cradle to Cradle”-certified playground apparatuses from Playworld Systems.
