Uniroyal Tires, owned by the Michelin Groupe, has launched two new products, the ultra-high-performance Tiger Paw GTZ All-Season 2 and the all-terrain Laredo AWT 3.
Both tires feature improved mileage warranties.
The Tiger Paw GTZ All-Season 2 is the next-generation ultra-high-performance tire from Uniroyal with 10 more sizes available than its predecessor, covering 82 percent of the ultra-high-performance market. The 42 sizes in the range will be available in rim diameters from 16 to 20 inches.
The Tiger Paw features Uniroyal’s Tru-Last technology, which is designed to distribute stress evenly across the tire footprint for consistent wear. It also has wide circumferential tread grooves which help provide better performance in rain, and traction snow bars designed to compact loose snow for better starting and stopping.
The tire also features an upgraded speed rating on select sizes. it was previously a “W” rating for all sizes. Now, the Tiger Paw offers an available “Y” speed rating on certain sizes for high-performance sports cars capable of speeds up to 186 mph. It features a 50,000-mile warranty, including fitments with a “Y” speed rating.
“The Tiger Paw GTZ All-Season 2 represents an unprecedented combination of performance and value offered by the Uniroyal brand. The increased speed rating, warranty and range of available sizes on our next-generation ultra-high-performance tire will reach an underserved segment of performance drivers,” said Alonso Tiscareno, brand director for Uniroyal.
The Laredo AWT 3 brings on- and off-road performance and provides all-terrain traction at a reasonable price, according to Uniroyal. It is backed by a 50,000-mile warranty.
“The Laredo AWT 3 demonstrates Uniroyal’s commitment to increase all-terrain tire offerings. We want to offer a tire that performs on- and off-road and delivers the Uniroyal value our consumers expect,” Tiscareno said.
