Michelin North America is kicking off the Uniroyal Soccer Ball Design Challenge, giving soccer players and fans the opportunity to show off their creativity.
The winning design will be featured as the 2011 Uniroyal soccer ball and the designer will win the Uniroyal soccer prize pack.
“Since the Uniroyal Soccer Program started 11 years ago, we have given away more than one million soccer balls through our community tire dealers across the country, and one of the most anticipated parts of the program is the introduction of the ball each year,” said Ashley Ramos, Uniroyal communications manager. “The Uniroyal Soccer Ball Design Challenge is another way for the soccer community to get involved with our program. This allows people the chance to get creative and have fun with the ball, which is the centerpiece of our program.”
The winner will receive a set of Uniroyal tires, $1,000 check, 50 soccer balls with the winning design, and Apple iPad, an official FIFA World Cup soccer jersey, a $1,000 Visa gift card to local attractions near winner’s home, a $500 car service gift certificate near winner’s home, and a $100 gift certificate to sporting goods store near winner’s home.
Beginning July 1, consumers can log on to uniroyaltires.com/soccerballdesignchallenge to create and submit their version of the Uniroyal soccer ball. The contest ends Oct. 15. Entries will be accepted via internet or mail.
