Tyrexpo Asia Can Help Beat Credit Crunch, Says ECI

Seeing the positive in the current global economic doom and gloom, the organiser of next March’s Tyrexpo Asia says the exhibition is ready to help businesses weather the credit-crunch by introducing cash-conscious buyers to volume-chasing suppliers and manufacturers.

With tyre and equipment businesses under pressure around the world from falling automotive sales and low consumer confidence, ECI International believes the stage is set for the exhibition to deliver much-needed vitality and innovation into the global market. “Every business is looking at its costs and margins, so the opportunity to meet new suppliers and distributors who can help achieve efficiencies has never been more important,” said ECI’s Paul Farrant.

“We have already got more than 120 exhibitors from across the world committed to the show so there will be dozens of opportunities for buyers and sellers to talk business face-to-face and do deals that just would not be possible otherwise,” he added. According to Farrant, the expo is particularly strong in the budget and mid-range car, van and commercial tyre sector from Asian and Chinese makers, some of whom are still relatively unknown in European and American markets.

Thanks to its co-operation with the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG), TyrexpoAsia delegates will also be able to tap into the knowledge of the world’s leading producers and suppliers of raw materials. The IRSG’s influential World Rubber Summit runs alongside the expo, providing access to the most up-to-date predictions for future raw material production and prices.

“There’s no doubt that the combination of the two events will bring many of the world’s leading executives from the rubber and tyre industries to Singapore next March,” concluded Farrant. “We’re confident that by joining forces there will be an added incentive and another great reason to visit and do business at TyrexpoAsia.” The IRSG World Rubber Summit will take place on Mar. 23-24 at the Singapore Expo Centre, while TyrexpoAsia runs from Mar. 24-26, 2009 at the same venue.
