Tyre Tools Online has Arrived

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) On Feb. 1, Harvie/Prema will ‘go live’ with its new Web site.

The company’s B2B online presence – at www.tyretools.co.uk – will provide a complete virtual catalogue initially covering the majority of Harvie/Prema’s product range and primarily concentrating on the fast moving consumer items.

According to the company, the target market for this concept will be “those customers that have a genuine desire to purchase products online.” This is an additional service and existing customers that continue to require direct service calls and account status will be maintained with a high level of customer care, company representatives added.

Referring to the launch, managing director, Terry Brooks states: “Direct Internet sales allow the company to save money which in turn is passed onto our online customers, and by settling accounts at the time of purchase, we are able to make our prices even more competitive. Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, and easy access to technical advice is always available.”

To know where you’re going, you have to know where you’ve been. For Babcox Media’s Joe Keene, an ASE-certified technician charged with fixing up a rare Lincoln Blackwood, it means heading back to Transtar Autobody Technologies in Detroit to put the finishing touches on the Blackwood. Then, he’ll put Babcox Media HQ in the rearview mirror as he heads out on the Lincoln Highway on his way to AAPEX. One of his first stops is the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Ind., where he hopes to bridge the connection between the automotive industry’s past and its future.
