Two New RTV Sealants From Permatex

Permatex has just introduced two new RTV sealants: one specially formulated to stand up against today’s gear oils when used in transfer cases and differentials, and the other made specifically for use on automatic transmission pans, case halves and inside covers.

The brand’s Gear Oil RTV Sealant was developed to withstand advanced synthetic and petroleum gear oils, which are known to destroy standard RTV silicones. It can be used as a differential case sealant or as a drain plug gasket, can withstand age and weathering, and will not void manufacturers’ warranty requirements, the company says.

Permatex says its fast-curing Automatic Transmission RTV Sealant resists aging, weathering, and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking. It meets automotive OE requirements for use on transmission pans, case halves, inside covers and can be used as a replacement for cut gaskets or as a gasket dressing. Both sealants are sensor-safe, low odor and available in a 3-ounce carded tube.

NRS Brakes has designed galvanized brake pads for the Tesla Model 3 specifically for electric/hybrid vehicle technology.

The company says (ADAS) vehicles demand a higher quality of all parts, especially safety items such as brakes.
