The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) has paired with the Retread Manufacturer’s Association of the United Kingdom to offer an international course in Retreading Workshop Practice in September.
The course is correspondence based, with two mock examinations to monitor progress during the periods of study, extending from September 2013 to May 2014, and a final exam, which can be taken at a local university or technical college. Individuals who successfully complete the course will be awarded certificates from the City & Guilds of London Institute.
The course will utilize RMA’s book, "Retread Process Workshop Practice," and cover topic areas including inspections, buffing, repairing, cementing, tread preparation and application, sidewall veneering, matrices, curing and pre-cure retreading, as well as legislation, health and safety.
The course is £269 for TRIB Members and £469 for non-TRIB Members. For more information, email TRIB at [email protected].
