Trelleborg Wheel Systems recently launched its Interfit USA website. The website is designed to enable consumers to buy forklift tires and also plan the fitting of them, the company said.
The Interfit website is easy to use and does not require tire consumers to have any knowledge of tires, according to Trelleborg.
“The Internet has changed the way we purchase goods,” Jason Canning, program manager, said. “The array of products we are able to purchase online has exploded. We believe forklift tires should be no different. Through our 500-plus nationwide Interfit authorized service providers we will be providing consumers with the ability to purchase our tires installed on their vehicles for the very first time.”
After customers go to interfit-usa.com and select the “find forklift tires” tool, they’re asked some basic information about their forklift and average hours of usage. A list of available tires is then provided. After the tire is selected, the consumer is walked through scheduling and payment of the tires.
“Using the proper tire can keep a forklift in service longer and reduce maintenance costs,” Canning added. “Interfit is another example of how we are focused on providing the best total value of ownership. We are giving tire consumer the tools they need to make an educated tire purchase. We believe that the forklift is the most important machine on earth.”
