Town Tires’s owner Ernie Turbyfill has commissioned the original artist to restore the mural.

The mural was created by Florida artist Harimandir Khalsa 13 years ago when Town Tire partnered with the artist to bring awareness of the many endangered species in Florida. The mural features images of different endangered animals to spell out “Here Today.”

“The message is meant more as a question than a statement,” said Khalsa. “This is an environmental awareness and public education project. It’s my hope that it will make people more aware of environmental issues and how much we really do have to lose if we don’t take care of what we have.”
