Titan Tire took the opportunity at this week’s Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, to unveil a pair of increased flexion Goodyear-brand tires.
New are the Goodyear IF Ultra Sprayer and the Goodyear IF DT830, both of which, Titan said, offer greater sidewall flexibility than a standard radial, allowing 20% greater loads at the same inflation pressure as a standard radial or the same load with 20% lower inflation pressures.
“IF technology has been in use in Europe for the past few years, simply because they don’t use duals, but as equipment keeps getting larger and faster, we believe IF technology will catch on in the U.S. particularly for sprayers,” said Scott Sloan, Titan ag product manager. “We have been field-testing our IF technology for the past couple years with great results.”
The Goodyear IF DT830, currently available in sizes IF800/55R46 and IF900/50R46, features a low sidewall profile, and 45-degree lugs that are 25% deeper than standard R-1 tires.
The Goodyear IF Ultra Sprayer is available in seven sizes ranging from IF320/90R46 to IF380/105R50, and is designed with added lug bracing and increased lug surface.
