An employee of Henise Tire Service, in Cleona, Pa., was killed yesterday when his pickup truck slammed into a parked trailer in a fenced lot behind the dealership, according to local reports.
The man, who was not named pending family notification, lost control of the pickup for unknown reasons in the shop’s rear lot and died on impact, police said. The company-owned pickup truck was wedged underneath the trailer that is used to store tires.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are continuing their investigation and will look at footage from a security video. The pickup truck also will be checked for any possible malfunctions.
Steve Derr, vice president of operations, told police the man was employed at the business since 2004 and was a passenger deliveryman.
