Tire Pros, a tire dealer marketing subsidiary of American Tire Distributors Inc., and local Tire Pros dealers recently helped open two new “Tread Town” Boundless Playgrounds. Tire Pros and Discount Tire Outlet Tire Pros, hosted a grand opening event Sept. 19 for a new Tread Town playground in Massillon, Ohio., and Tire Pros and Tri-Cities Battery and Tire Pros opened a playground one week later in Pasco, Wash., on Sept. 24.
Tread Town Boundless Playgrounds allow children with and without disabilities to play together. Much of the playground’s foundation is constructed from recycled rubber, allowing easy access for children and caregivers. The playground offers ramped wheel chair accesses to the highest platforms and solid harness swings for children who need additional back support.
“Tread Town playgrounds provide safe, positive places for all children to play, learn and thrive,” said Dan Brown, president of Tire Pros. “We are proud to open our sixth and seventh Tread Towns nationally and partner with our local Tire Pros dealers Discount Tire Outlet Tire Pros and Tri-Cities Battery & Tire Pros to make these important contributions back into the local communities in which we operate.”
Grand opening events at the playgrounds featured games, activities, music and giveaways, with each event attracting more than 300 people.
With the two newest Tread Towns, seven Boundless Playgrounds have opened nationally by American Tire Distributors since 2009. The previous five are located in Lakewood, Calif.; Jackson, Miss.; Savannah, Ga.; Memphis, Tenn.; and Huntersville, N.C.
