Tire Pros, a division of American Tire Distributors, unveiled the “Allies for Independence” campaign at its annual dealer meeting in San Diego that will help supply customized all-terrain wheelchairs to wounded American veterans.
“Tire Pros is excited to launch Allies for Independence in support of the servicemen and women who sacrificed so much to safeguard our freedom,” said Tire Pros President Dan Brown. “Our commitment at Tire Pros is to make tire buying hassle-free, so we’re also on a mission to mobilize our wounded veterans and make it easier for them to enjoy their favorite activities.”
During the Tire Pros dealer meeting, three veterans were surprised with all-terrain wheelchairs, customized for their needs.
Through the campaign, Tire Pros will partner with The Independence Fund – a national veterans non-profit organization that offers tools, therapies and resources to American veterans with service-related disabilities – to support the fund’s mobility program that provides more than 1,400 all-terrain wheelchairs.
Tire Pros dealers will help raise money and awareness for The Independence Fund, and a series of promotions will also highlight the program around patriotic holidays and Tire Pros’ Local Dealer Days in November that honors and supports wounded veterans.
Allies for Independence is part of a broader partnership between ATD and The Independence Fund.
