Tire Market Intelligence Available

David Shaw is a well-known and respected journalist within the tire and rubber industries as the former editor of the European Rubber Journal. However early in 2013 David launched his own specialist company – Tire Industry Research and attended last year’s Tire Technology Show to survey and gather information in order to provide the global tire market with a series of unique industry reports.

David returned to this year’s event to launch his initial product entitled ‘Sustainability in the Tire Industry 2014 ‘ which has already been enthusiastically received and is a comprehensive report of around 170 pages, over 200 diagrams and approximately 70,000 words.

SA Treads spoke with David to learn that he has endeavored to use his vast experience within the tire global markets to chronicle everything that anyone in the industry would want to know about tire sustainability.

David said, “There are lots of people who know a great deal about a particular aspect of the tire industry such as production, design and marketing. However what is not so evident is known experts who understand all elements and boundaries of the market in depth.” Over the past twelve months, David has spoken at length with many people throughout the market, which has given him a solid base for writing his initial report.

The current Sustainability Report can be produced in any desired format and it is David’s firm intention to specialize in future comprehensive reports focused around the global tire industry.

He concluded, “I strongly believe there is an essential need in the tire industry for professional market intelligence and Tire Industry Research intends to play an important role in this specialist sector.” (Southern Africa Treads)
