Tire Industry Hall of Fame Deadline Friday, July 1

The deadline to nominate the next inductees into the Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) 2016 Tire Industry Hall of Fame is approaching, with entries due Friday, July 1.

Eligible nominations for the Hall of Fame include individuals in the tire industry, including manufacturers, inventors, publishers, equipment suppliers, tire association executives, tire dealers, tire and rubber recyclers and retreaders. The Hall of Fame may be awarded posthumously.

According to TIA, inductees are chosen based on contributions to new ideas, practices and innovations that promote the health and well-being of the tire industry, exemplary and distinguished service in the tire industry and the respect of his or her peers. Civic, cultural, educational or charitable contributions are considered, but are not a primary consideration for selection.

The Hall of Fame recipients will be inducted at the Tire Industry Honors Awards Ceremony on Oct. 31, 2016 at the Tropicana Las Vegas. The event is hosted prior to the Global Tire Expo – Powered by TIA at the SEMA Show, Nov. 1-4, 2016, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
