Two industry professionals, Tom Sawyer and John R. Rigney, have joined the Tire Consultants Group business consulting services.
Sawyer previously worked as OTR sales and marketing manager at Tire Centers Inc., mine site manager for GCR Tire Co., and technical manager at the Penasquite mine for HSM Tire Co. Sawyer also worked with Eurotire, where he served as principle liaison between the company and corporate and local mining officials.
Sawyer has a degree in business administration from Portland State University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Indonesian and African dialects.
Rigney has a background in finance, accounting and risk management. He is also a vertified CPA.
Previously, Rigney worked with tire retailer and wholesale Robert C Stotler Inc. as an accountant. He’s also worked with Merchants Tire Co., Friend Tire Co., American Tire Distributors as its northeast regional vice president of finance, and Treadways Corp. as chief financial officer. Recently, he served as vice president/controller of shared services at TRB Corp. and vice president, business investment in the risk management department of Sumitomo Corp. of America.
