The Tire Industry Association’s Farm Tire Service (FTS) Program, released last year, has been recognized with a Telly Award in the safety category.
TIA was also recognized with a 2013 Telly for its Winter Tire Replacement video.
“The FTS Program is important for our members that service farm, agricultural and construction tire and wheel assemblies,” said Ken Brown, TIA President. “Winning two Telly awards for safety is a perfect example of why Tire Safety Starts Here and TIA remains the undisputed leader in technician training and certification.”
TIA developed its FTS with cooperation from Bridgestone Americas agricultural division. The tiremaker allowed TIA unlimited access to its test center in Columbiana, Ohio, as well as assisted with the production phase of the project.
FTS is a 200-level basic training program available in a video/workbook format as well as on TIA’s Online University. For more information, visit tireindustry.org.
The Telly Awards were founded in 1979 to honor outstanding local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, video productions and online commercials. More than 12,000 entries came in this year from all 50 states and 21 countries.
