TIA Names 2014 ATS Tour Locations

The Tire Industry Association will visit 13 cities during the 2014 Automotive Tire Service Advanced Instructor Training Tour.

“The ATS Instructor Tour has been a tremendous success over the last couple of years and we have certified over 300 instructors during that time period,” said Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training. “We’re making the training more accessible to retailers across the country and they continue to respond by sending employees to become TIA Certified ATS Instructors. As long as the demand for training continues to grow, we’ll keep adding new cities and revisiting cities where attendance was strong.”

The tour will feature four-day in-depth hands-on training classes around the U.S. with the goal of educating tire technicians on the proper safety procedures and guidelines for servicing passenger and light truck tire and wheel assemblies, TIA said.

The tour will visit the following cities, with exact dates being announced in the future:

February – Charlotte
March – Sarasota, Fla., and Houston
April – Denver and Baltimore
May – Minneapolis
June – Pittsburgh, Pa.
July – San Francisco
August – Chicago
September – Cincinnati and Boston
October – Los Angeles and Tallahassee
