TIA Hosting Hands-On Farm Tire Service Training

The Tire Industry Association is hosting three hands-on Basic Farm Tire Service training classes in 2016. The classes, sponsored by Stellar Industries, will be hosted June 14-16, July 12-14 and August 16-18 in Garner, Iowa, and will run from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day.

The class is a minimum skills training program that outlines and explains the guidelines for servicing farm, agriculture and construction tire and wheel assemblies. Those who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate.

Participants will learn step-by-step procedures for demounting, mounting and inflating, single, duel and 3-piece assemblies as well as servicing truck operation and liquid ballast installation/removal, TIA said.

Tuition is $495 for one or two attendees. Companies sending three or more participants will receive a discounted rate of $445 per student.
