Bob Handlos, vice president of product development for Bridgestone Americas, will be a key session presenter at the upcoming TIA Environmental Symposium.
The event will be held Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, at the Ocean City Convention Center in Ocean City, Md., and in conjunction with the Washington, Maryland & Delaware Service Station and Automotive Repair Association Annual Convention & Mega Trade Show.
Handlos’ Oct. 2 session is titled, "One Team, One Planet: Thinking Green for a Better Tomorrow,” and will discuss how Bridgestone is taking a leadership role in environmental outreach and programs under a global initiative.
In addition to the Mega Trade Show, the first TIA Environmental Symposium will also feature a number of special events, such as a welcome reception on Sept. 30, and a networking luncheon on Oct. 1. A golf tournament on Sept. 30 is also slated.
On Oct. 1, the actual symposium will feature a legislative workgroup meeting, a review of the Maryland scrap tire program, a workshop on asphalt rubber, a look at Superfund liability issues, and a look at crumb rubber products.
The Oct. 2 program will feature seminars on “Greening Your Business” and “Eco-Friendly Tire & Auto Care,” as well as a networking reception.
The trade show will run both days.
