TIA Announces 2016 CTS Instructor Training Schedule


TIA has announced the schedule for its 2016 Certified Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Instructor Training and Certification Classes that will take place in Baltimore and Denver.

According to TIA, the Certified CTS Instructor Program “exceeds the minimum training requirements established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and includes all aspects of truck tire and wheel service including OSHA regulations, mounting/demounting/inflation, torque, puncture repair, balancing, road service and much more.”

The 2016 CTS Instructor Training is available in both a 3-day and a 4-day program. Those with more than two years of experience of hands-on commercial truck tire experience may register for either program, but participants with less than two years experience must register for the 4-day class option.

The schedules are as followed:

Baltimore (3-Day)          Baltimore (4-Day)

March 9 – 11                           March 8 – 11

May 18 – 20                            May 17 – 20

October 19 – 21                      October 18 – 21

Denver (3-Day)                Denver (4-Day)

April 6 – 8                               April 5 – 8

September 14 – 16                 September 13 – 16

December 7 – 9                      December 6 – 9

Baltimore classes will be hosted at the Community College of Baltimore County in Catonsville, Md. and the Denver classes will be hosted at Lincoln College of Technology in Aurora, Co.

Special hotel rates in both cities that include shuttle service to and from the airports and the colleges.
