ContiTech Sells Veyance Air Springs Business in NAFTA Region
ContiTech has entered into an agreement to sell Veyance Technologies’ North American air springs business to Charlotte-based EnPro Industries Inc. The air springs business will be managed as part of EnPro’s Stemco division. The divestiture had been required by anti-trust authorities in the U.S., Mexico and Brazil as part of ContiTech’s acquisition of Veyance Technologies
Continental-Veyance Deal Approved
Reuters reported that Continental AG won both U.S. and Canadian antitrust approval to buy Veyance Technologies, a U.S.-based maker of industrial hoses and belting, on the condition that Veyance sells its North American commercial vehicle air springs business. The proposed 1.4 billion euro ($1.73 billion) deal for Ohio-based Veyance was announced in February. Continental said
